Well, hello there!
Again, I haven’t posted for a week. But you guys, I’VE GOTTEN SO MUCH DONE.
We posed for Christmas card pictures and I ordered the cards from Tiny Prints, I filmed a rap video at my house with Stacia and some other supporting cast members, I did a shitload of laundry, I went to a very fun Christmas party, survived one wicked hangover, researched the pros and cons between the new Kindle Fire and iPod Touch, bought/transported home/decorated our Christmas tree all by myself, watched at least eight episodes of “Breaking Bad” on my Nook, took my son to Scouts/reading tutoring/indoor soccer, cheered on Sloan as she pooped in the potty, and managed to wash my hair once.
HUGE pat on the back for Piper.
Speaking of Christmas parties, I have to tell you about the one we attend every year. As far as Christmas gatherings go, it is really, really top-notch.
It’s tits, ya’ll.
They have great food, delicious desserts, bartenders dressed in elf costumes, and full-on karaoke garage band instruments set up in their basement. I’m talking drums, three microphones, two guitars, big speakers, EVERYTHING. We pulled up songs and lyrics on YouTube and rocked out. After a few drinks, everyone becomes a better singer. I happened to think I was a professional drummer that night. I was ready to go on tour at small casinos with Foreigner. I’m still not sure why Brad was shaking his head and laughing, but I’m thinking it was because he was completely amazed that he was witnessing for the first time yet another God-given talent of mine.
For the past two years, the hosts have also had a photo booth set up in a room off the kitchen. We put donations for the Children’s Center in a jar, but more importantly, this was a great way for forty-year olds act like they are sixteen again. I have proof.

It’s sort of fun to let my kids search for me in the photo strips. Like a wacked out version of “Where’s Waldo?”.

The best one from this year is when I crawled into the booth, just like the stealth bomber that I am, and popped up in the background of Rich and Gina’s photos. I’m sure she will want to frame it.

I’ve decided I either want my own photo booth or a professional drum kit for Christmas. Along with a professional on-call masseuse. They will fit very nicely down the chimney.
