I’ve been doing a little work lately, when I have time, on shooting friends who are in need of a headshot. In the past, we only thought of a headshot as something a model might need, but these days that’s really not the case. People need them for all different kinds of reasons. Work and professional stuff. Dating website profiles. Facebook profile pictures. Personal blogs.
So I’m making the case that having some good pictures of yourself can be quite useful.
I’ve been trying to teach myself about lighting and editing, and I’ve always been much more interested in taking pictures of people rather than landscapes or still life. I like to see if I can capture a moment where they are truly themselves. Too many people hate being in front of a camera, and I’m trying to change that. Because everyone can look amazingly beautiful.
You can see it in the eyes. Or the curve of a smile.
